This policy explains what Logical Software collects when a child plays JuniorNexa, why it is collected, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written for the adult who holds the account.

The account belongs to an adult

An account is registered by a parent or guardian. The purchases, the receipts, the progress and the settings are yours. Your child plays on a screen with four pictures and one button on it, where there are no prices, no account screens and nothing they have to be able to read. The grown-ups side is reached through the key in the corner: it is out of a child’s way rather than behind a password, so hand the device over from the child’s screen.

What we collect

  • Your account — the email address and password you register with, and the first name, last name, mobile number, date of birth and gender the profile asks for before the account can be used.
  • Your child, where you enter them as the player — the app greets the player by the name on the profile, so on most accounts that name, and the date of birth beside it, are the child’s rather than the adult’s.
  • How old the player is — a single number between four and eight, which you or your child can set and change at any time. It is used for one thing: to decide which puzzles and packs to show first. It is never used to profile your child, it is never shared, and nothing is hidden from you because of it.
  • Play activity — which puzzle sets were opened, the answers tapped, how many were right, the stars given and when it happened.
  • Purchases — which puzzle packs were bought, and the receipt for each one.
  • Technical data — the IP address, device and browser details, and a record of when the account signs in and out.

What we never collect

For a children’s app this list matters more than the one above.

  • No camera, and no microphone. Not “we ask and you may refuse” — the app does not carry the camera or microphone permissions at all, so neither can be requested. Nothing about your child is photographed, recorded or uploaded.
  • No location. Never requested, at any accuracy.
  • No contacts, photos, files, calendar or messages. None of them are read.
  • No advertising. No adverts in the app, no advertising software in it, and the advertising identifier is removed from the build. Nothing your child does is used to profile them or to target anything at them.
  • Nobody to reach, and nothing to publish. There is no chat, no comments and no sharing. No one can contact your child through the app, and your child cannot post anything from it.
  • Nothing watches them play. There is no monitoring or proctoring of any kind on this service.

Why we collect it

  • To sign you in, to keep the packs you own open, and to save a half-finished puzzle so that a closed app, a flat battery or a lost connection does not lose it.
  • To show you what your child played, how each set went, and which kinds of puzzle they find easy and which they do not.
  • To take payment for a pack and give you a receipt.
  • To keep the service secure and to diagnose faults.

Signing in with Google or Facebook

If you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, your email address, your profile picture and an identifier for that account — and nothing else. We never see your password, we cannot read anything in your account, and we can never post anything to it.

We use the email address to find the account you already have here, or to create one for you if you do not. We keep the identifier so that the same button signs you back into the same account next time; it is removed when you delete your account.

You can stop using it at any time and sign in with your email address and password instead. Signing in this way tells the provider nothing about which exams you sit or how you do in them.

Who we share it with

Nobody. We do not sell your data and we do not hand it to anyone for their own use. When you buy a pack the payment is taken on our payment provider’s own page: your card details never reach this app or our servers, and we are told only whether the payment succeeded. We would disclose anything otherwise only where the law requires it.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your language. Blocking them will stop you from signing in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

For as long as the account is open. Nothing here expires on a timer of its own; closing the account is what removes it, and the next section says exactly what that removes.

Deleting the account

You can delete the account yourself, from your profile or Account Settings on the grown-ups side. It is locked immediately and deleted permanently after 30 days — sign in at any point in that window and everything is restored exactly as it was.

At that point we erase the name, the email address, the phone number, the date of birth, the gender, the address and the record of sign-ins and devices.

Two things outlive it, with nothing left to say whose they were. The record of which puzzles were answered stays, separated from the account it belonged to. Payment and invoice records are kept for eight years, because tax law requires it and an invoice already issued cannot be rewritten.

Your rights as a parent

You can ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you and your child, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to us and we will answer.

We do not knowingly accept a registration from a child. If you believe a child has given us something without you, write to us and we will remove it.
